About the Podcast

Join us as we explore the rich history of Poland from its humble beginnings to the present day. From its humble beginnings, we’ll follow the people of Poland as they form a unique cultural identity, rise to become a great European power, cross paths with the Mongol Horde, save Europe from an Ottoman invasion, and do their best to maintain their independence from generation to generation.

Episodes are released semi-regularly, with the eventual aim of publishing a new episode every week. The best way to make sure you don’t miss an episode is to subscribe.

The show is hosted by Trevor Gilbert, a lover of Polish history and a full-time podcast producer. Bringing his love of indecipherable medieval texts and combining it with his experience creating podcasts, he crafts each episode with love and care.

If you’d like to get in touch with Trevor, you can reach him at historyofpolandpodcast@gmail.com. He reads every email — and tries to respond to them all — along with every review and message that’s sent his way.

Support the Show

The History of Poland Podcast is made possible by listeners like you.

While many of the source documents for the show are in the public domain, many of the history books and analyses are quite expensive. This is an independently run podcast, so that often means needing to buy books that are worth more than I’d like to pay.

If you’d like to help offset the cost of hosting and creating this show, I’d encourage you to join us on Patreon. You can pay as little as $3/month to support the show — I’d never say no to more than that, of course — and listen with the knowledge that you’ve helped create history. Literally!

As an added bonus, I also create extra episodes exclusively for Patreon supporters. Typically they’re in the same format as the main show, but covering auxiliary topics. You’ll also be the first group of people I go to for feedback on new ideas.
